A properly prepared surface is critical to the quality and long-term durability of the finished product. Our dedication to correcting any underlying issues is a large part of what sets us apart as premier professionals. Our prep process includes:

• Filling nail holes, cracks and imperfections in the drywall or substrate
• Apply cleaning solution to remove smoke damage, soot, or candle residue where required
• Apply drop cloths and/or plastic to protect your furniture, fixtures, carpet, trim, windows, and floors
• Repair or replace drywall if necessary
• Sand and re-texture patched areas to ensure seamless blending with the rest of the wall

The priming phase is key to making sure your paint looks flawless! The priming process includes:

• Spot-prime patched drywall or apply a full primer coat after wallpaper removal or depending on the condition of the surface to be painted
• Apply shellac-based or oil-based sealer to water stains

The painting process typically includes:

• First coat of your selected colors to walls, ceilings and trim
• When changing color of the walls, stick-sanding to smooth the surface after the first coat and apply a full second coat
• If necessary, stick-sanding and applying a third coat where needed (depending on the original color or absorption of the first coats)
